A storm of emotions numbs my fingers as I write this paragraph. Eligia is one of the best people I have ever met. She is a symbol of that rare and beautiful kindness. Unfortunately, words corrupt our true feelings, but to put it plainly: thank you, Eligia, for everything you have done for me and for welcoming my family. Eligia picked up my little one and me at the port (and waited for us despite the boat's delay) and took us home. The apartment is beautiful. It's very comfortable and practical. Not only does it have the basics, but there was a basket of treats (a bottle of prosecco, milk for the little one, ham, cheese, bread…). The apartment is well decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. This apartment will be my home whenever I'm in Tenerife. Less than a five-minute walk away are the Museum of Science and the Cosmos, an amazing place for children (and for those who refuse to grow up). And the apartment is less than a five-minute walk from the centre of La Laguna. We had planned to stay two nights, but we ended up staying two weeks. La Laguna preserves a very rich culture that we needed to explore, and some of the best restaurants. I didn't rent a car and even so we visited several beaches and towns using the very good public transport (easily accessible from the apartment). Eligia was always there for us, to answer any question, help us, take us back to the station with our incredibly heavy luggage… Thank you again, Eligia, for all your help and, as you know, we'll see you soon.
