If you pass through the north of Tenerife we recommend visiting this coastal town, which was commercial capital and main port of the island from the conquest until 1706, when the volcano erupted and destroyed much of the town and its port. Hence, natural pools have been formed with easy access for both children and adults and where a refreshing bath awaits you.<\/p>\n

This interestingly historic village retains its cobblestone streets, balconies and picturesque houses and today is located as an option for those tourists looking for direct contact with nature and tranquility away from popular sun and beach tourism. Either way, there are many options in the area for those who enjoy hiking, kayaking, mountain biking or simply visiting a winery or farm. <\/p>\n

Taste the gastronomy of the area, especially fish, and start the tour of the castle of San Miguel, are without a doubt two of the greatest attractions of Garachico, not forgetting the Plaza de la Libertad, which constitutes the nerve center of the town, with the Town Hall, the museum and the convent, as well as its gardens, its streets and the shops of ‘souvenirs’. It is certainly a very picturesque and welcoming village.<\/p>\n

Being a stop with a duration of half a day, you can continue in the direction of Buenavista del Norte and taste tasty a sweet pastry shop el Aderno sitting in the quiet square, and then visit punta de Teno. Another option is to link this beautiful walk with the visit of Masca.<\/p>\n
